Is “iPhone7” going to be iPhone7?

iPhone7?

According to media reports, Apple’s flagship product will break the convention of having major design changes every two years. Apple is estimated to have only minor adjustments to the fall launch of the new iPhone. At the same time, insiders said that Apple’s next-generation iPhone may not be called “iPhone 7”.

Based on the past information, the new iPhone will keep the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display, the biggest change is of the 3.5mm headphone jack, the Lighting interface will be used both for the charging port and headphones. This change makes iPhone thinner while increasing its water resistance. According to KGI Securities’ analysis, the abolition of 3.5mm headphone jack enables the iPhone to be one millimetre thinner than the existing one.

Because of the fewer design adjustments, insiders said that Apple may not grant this new model the title of iPhone 7. Apple has not responded to the rumours about the appearance of the new generation iPhone.

The reason that Apple has not applied significant changes in the new iPhone’s design is that Apple needs more time to implement new technology in the production line. So that when the iPhone is released in 2017, the 10th anniversary, they can surprise Apple fans and consumers. According to informed sources, the major changes will include organic light emitting diode (OLED), the fingerprint sensor implanted in the display and the disappearance of the Home key.
